On Thursday, September 22, 2022, DCPS hosted a virtual Community Working Group (CWG) meeting for MacArthur High School. The group discussed updates about building construction, academic programming focusing on exploring the IB curriculum. The group discussed updates about enrollment, student recruitment strategies, and school leader recruitment. The presentation deck (Spanish version) and meeting recording are now available.

DCPS shared a letter of boundary and feeder changes, and phase-in policies, to impacted families upon the opening of MacArthur HS (temporary name) in August 2023.

The opening of MacArthur HS requires changes to boundaries and feeder patterns that determine the schools a student has a right to attend. MacArthur HS will be a neighborhood high school with a boundary identical to the boundary for Hardy MS.
