DCPS shared a letter of boundary and feeder changes, and phase-in policies, to impacted families upon the opening of MacArthur HS (temporary name) in August 2023.
The opening of MacArthur HS requires changes to boundaries and feeder patterns that determine the schools a student has a right to attend. MacArthur HS will be a neighborhood high school with a boundary identical to the boundary for Hardy MS.

The purpose of this survey is to gather feedback on programming and gather nominations for a final school name. On Tuesday, June 21 2022, DCPS hosted a virtual meeting to address traffic concerns related to the opening of MacArthur Boulevard HS and Foxhall ES. Results from an initial traffic study of the surrounding intersections were shared with the public, and DCPS was joined by DDOT and WMATA representatives as they discussed existing public transportation options and cycling infrastructure. A primary goal of the meeting was to solicit community feedback to inform next steps; a document detailing that feedback can be found here (Spanish version). Join DCPS on June 21, 2022 at 6 pm for a virtual community meeting about MacArthur HS focused on traffic. This meeting will review findings of the recently concluded traffic study and other transportation implications associated with the opening of MacArthur HS. This meeting is open to the public.

The group engaged in conversation that included the roles and responsibilities of CWG members, the announced phase-in policies for MacArthur HS, and design and construction plans. On Wednesday, May 11, 2022, DCPS hosted a virtual information session on MacArthur High School to provide context on past engagement, review key project information, and preview upcoming engagement. More than 200 individuals attended and asked questions on topics including academics, extracurricular activities, enrollment, and traffic. Following the meeting, DCPS developed an FAQ document to respond to the most common questions.
