The Strategic School Planning Advisory Board (SSPAB) met on May 16, 2019. In this meeting, DCPS shared and discussed relevant school planning updates. In addition, board members and DCPS continued the 4/23 board meeting discussion on school diversity, segregation and integration including its impact on planning in DCPS.

The Strategic School Planning Advisory Board (SSPAB) met on March 21, 2019. In this meeting, the school planning and enrollment team continued the topic from the February meeting about the updated levers for growth as well as the school district’s approach to Student Recruitment.

Board members shared feedback with the school planning and enrollment team about how DCPS can improve its student recruitment efforts in various parts of the city.

In this meeting, the school planning and enrollment team shared the updated levers for growth as well as the school district’s approach to Student Recruitment. Board members shared their feedback on the DCPS levers for growth and how the school district can leverage parents and families to support Student Recruitment.

The Strategic School Planning Advisory Board (SSPAB) met on January 17, 2019. In this meeting, the school planning team shared the updated planning process and growth plan blueprint as well as Early Childhood Education expansion. Board members shared their feedback on the DCPS decision making process and had discussion about what Early Childhood Expansion looks like in their communities.

The Strategic School Planning Advisory Board (SSPAB) met on November 15th, 2018. In this meeting, the Planning team shared an update on DCPS’ SY18-19 reported enrollment and recent school planning decisions: the move of Banneker HS to Shaw MS, as well as the openings of Bard High School Early College and a selective Early College Academy at Coolidge HS. Board members then discussed how DCPS values and portfolio vision guide decision-making practices for planning.
